    Basic Function: The IT Support Specialist – Infrastructure Focus is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and related hardware and software. This role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of IT operations by providing technical support, performing regular maintenance, and assisting in infrastructure upgrades and projects. The specialist also troubleshoots issues, monitors system performance, and supports disaster recovery and data backup processes to ensure business continuity. Responsibilities: · Monitor and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure (e.g., servers, storage, network devices). · Perform troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure-related incidents (network outages, hardware failures, etc.). · Troubleshoot networking issues between client and server, including packet loss, routing issues, and connectivity errors. · Support day-to-day operations, including user access, backups, patch management, and hardware maintenance. · Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers. · Administer and monitor network systems, firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs. · Perform regular system performance checks and proactively identify potential issues. · Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and network-related support. · Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventory, and incident logs. · Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with IT policies and best practices. · Assist in infrastructure upgrades, migration projects, and disaster recovery planning. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or systems support. Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments. Experience with networking (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, routers). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Proficiency in managing cloud services (AWS, Vultr, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Hands-on experience with Vultr cloud environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.

Cost management • Develop project cost plan and make changes based on approved change request. • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Time management • Develop project schedule and make changes based on approved change request. • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed. • Prepare and update project milestone chart. Communication • Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected stakeholders. • Collects, analyses, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports. • Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems. HR • Identify project resources skillset. • Hire the project team, internally or externally. • Provide training (if required). • Resources performance monitoring. Risk • Undertake risk management to minimize potential risks. • Develop and update the risk register as and when required. Documentation • Implementing document control policies and documentation templates. • Create and maintain detailed project documentation including but not limited to project management plan, communication plan, cost plan, project schedule, issue log, procurement tracking document and risk register. Qualifications Degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, quantity survey, IT, computer science or related discipline. Skills & Abilities • Proven project and process management skillset. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to draw up detailed project plan, project schedule and communication plan. • Ability to utilize project management tools such as stakeholder register, cost plan, time plan, issue log and risk register. • Experience in using Microsoft Project or proficient in other project management software. • Creative mindset. • Ability to make complex decision. • Leadership. • Team player. • Negotiation skill. • Organization and analytics skill. • Goal setting capability. • Adaptability. • Roadmap-oriented. • Detail-oriented. Expected Minimum Years of Experience Minimum 5 years of project management experience as project leader. Proven project and process management skillset. Added advantage: o PMP or Prince2 certified. o Business analytics skillset. o Knowledge in change management. o Both IT and business architecture design skillset. o Software development full cycle. o Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera and Bentley.
